Brick House Tavern is a restaurant in Cuyahoga Falls. Itβs across the street from Ollieβs Bargain Outlet and is easy
to find. The great food and customer service would keep us coming back.
The inside of the restaurant is cozy. They have lots of different seating choices, including couches, high tables,
bar seats, booths, and normal tables. They also have a nice wood fireplace right when you walk in that keeps the
place nice and warm. We sat on a couch and it was honestly very comfy to sit at.
The food came out quite fast and it was delicious. We also tried their mozzarella bricks and they tasted amazing.
Courtney Katzenmeyer got the mac and cheese. She thought it was really fresh tasting. The cheese sauce wasnβt too
heavy and there was just the right amount on the mac and cheese. The noodles werenβt normal noodles you would
find in mac and cheese. The noodles were really unique and Courtney enjoyed them more than normal mac and
cheese noodles.
Ava Turner got the bacon mac burger and she thought it was delicious. The burger was a bit big so she had to cut
it in half. When she picked it up some of the mac and cheese fell off the burger. She also got the homestyle chips and
ranch as a side and thought they were really good. She described the ranch as tasting homemade and went great with
the chips.
Ava Loeffler got the farmhouse style burger and fries but the egg in the burger was dry. The fries had a nice
seasoning and paired really well with the ranch. She thought the ranch tasted really fresh. The bun was crispy,
buttery and went wonderfully with the burger.
Not only was the food good but the service was immaculate. They made sure you were doing good frequently.
The customer service was one of the best we have experienced so far. We got our food quickly and not to mention
the managers were even asking us how we were doing which we think is important for managers to be engaged with
their customers.
We would definitely recommend the Brick House Tavern. The food and customer service was amazing. We
would go back again if we had the choice.

Musicians Legacies Live On – Alaina Sayre
Hundreds of influential musicians have died, leaving their fans, family and friends distraught. To keep their memories alive, it is important to talk about their careers and how their deaths devastated their respective communities.
Lead Singer of Nirvana, Kurt Cobain created music that influenced millions of people. Essentially spearheading the grunge movement along with bands like Pearl Jam and Soundgarden, Kurt Cobainβs attitude on the music created an environment for grunge to thrive.
Cobainβs addiction to various drugs and alcohol led to his death, yet fans of the band tend to blame his death on his wife. Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love were married in 1992, just two years before his death. They had a notoriously unhealthy marriage. Their one child, Frances Bean Cobain, lived with her grandmother for most of her childhood, because of her mothers unhealthy addiction.
April 5 1994, Kurt Cobain died of an overdose. Many fans were distraught. All of his fans felt a deep connection to him, and his death was a hard blow for people everywhere. Cobain often blamed the media for causing his mental downfall, a pressure in which many musicians face.
For example, Amy Winehouse was another musician plagued by the mediaβs attempt at controlling her life. During her life, the media were relentless in their focused attacks and studies of Winehouse. Winehouse suffered from not only a struggle to stay away from drugs and alcohol but suffered from manic depression and an eating disorder. The media famously crossed the line between journalism and exploitation numerous times in her life.
Amy Winehouse was known for her vocals that were commonly compared to jazz and rhythm-and-blues legends Sarah Vaughan, Dinah Washington, and Billie Holiday. Her album Back To Black broke numerous records. At the 50th GRAMMY awards, Winehouse was given Best New Artist honors, Back to Black was named Best Pop Vocal Album and “Rehab” earned wins for Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.
In 2011, Winehouse was supposed to go on a comeback tour, but was cut short after she appeared to be drunk on the first night. Over a month after that show, Winehouse was found dead with a blood alcohol level of .416.
Third and finally, Jeff Buckley was known as one of the most remarkable musical artists of his generation, acclaimed by audiences, critics and musicians alike. The son of folk-rocker Tim Buckley, he was a powerful, emotive singer who possessed vocals none had ever seen before. Rolling Stone magazine has named Buckley among the greatest singers and alternative artists of all time. His career was like none other. His debut album Grace broke numerous records, making the top 50 greatest debut albums of all time.
Buckley was always known as a free spirit, which inevitably led to his death in 1997. While awaiting the arrival of his band from New York, he drowned during a spontaneous evening swim in the Mississippi River, where he was caught in the wake of a passing boat.
Musicians leave legacies that influence listeners for decades. To continue their legacy, it is important to talk about their lives and careers. The impact these artists left on the music industry forever changed the way people look at music. These musicians were arguably the best of their time and it is unfortunate we never got to see the rest of their careers.

Strange World Review- Em Lamantia
Strange World, a 2022 movie produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios, is the story of a society trapped within a ring of mountains. The movie follows primarily Searcher Clade, Jake Gyllenhaal, an ex-explorer who became a farmer of the societyβs power source named Pando.
At first, the society lacked a power source, and they thought the only way to have a better life was by escaping the mountainous ring around them. Searcher and his father, Jaeger Clade, Dennis Quaid, are searching for an escape when suddenly Searcher finds a powerful plant that can provide energy for the region, named Avalonia.
When Searcher says the crew should go back with the plant and the crew agrees, Jaeger departs from the group, hoping to still find an exit from the ring of mountains.
After this, the movie flashes forward to 25 years later, when Searcher is a successful farmer of the plant, Pando, and has a wife named Meridian, Gabrielle Union, and son named Ethan, Jabouki Young-White. The society is thriving using this plant for their power, and the people are happier than ever.
All this changes when Pando starts dying. The mayor, Callisto Mal, Lucy Liu, and her crew bring their airship with them to ask Searcher to join their expedition to find the problem with Pando. Searcher does not want Ethan to join, a fight ensues, and Searcher leaves without saying goodbye to Ethan.
Later, the crew starts descending into a deep pit while following the roots of the Pando plant, when Meridian comes to the ship because Ethan snuck on board. In an unfortunate turn of events, the captain of the ship disappears and Meridian, a pilot for the family farm, takes over.
Meridian steers the ship to safety, but not without accidentally crash landing through an odd membrane and into what can only be described as a strange world, the namesake of the movie. Searcher gets separated from the crew, Ethan goes to look for him, and Searcher reunites with his father Jaeger.
Jaeger describes this world to be βa subterranean labyrinth where everythingβs alive. And most things, well, they want to eat you.β
This movie is my absolute favorite movie, and while that seems like it could be an exaggeration, that is completely genuine. This movie is a fantastic blend of coming of age, sci-fi, romance and idealist concepts. The movie takes the idea of a society confronting problems and actually finding solutions.
One of my favorite parts of the movie is the clear diversity in the movie without it being acknowledged as odd or different. An important element of stories with unique worlds is how things seen as out of the ordinary can seem completely common, and the directors of this movie did a fantastic job of using that advantage.
With an almost entirely non-white cast of characters, and a voice acting cast to match, this film does a great job of embracing diversity and casting actors as diverse as their on-screen vision. This is a really important thing as a producer to provide opportunities to communities who are less frequently offered these opportunities.
Another important feature of the diversity in the film was the presence and featuring of a gay main character. Throughout the movie, Ethan discusses his affection for his friend Diazo, Jonathan Melo, to which he receives only support. For young queer kids, this representation could help them realize they are not alone.
While diverse characters were a huge reason I love this movie, I also really love how dynamic the characters are. Throughout the story, characters start with very solid uncompromising worldviews. Eventually, they realize they can see each othersβ sides and learn from one another.
βMy whole life, I worked so hard to be the exact opposite of my dad. And looks like I ended up just like him,β Searcher notes.
A valuable part of the story is when parents apologize and realize the generational cycles they are perpetuating. The movie focuses on following oneβs own path and acknowledging that oneβs path cannot be decided by their parents. So often, people forget that parents can be wrong so showing this in a childrenβs movie can be very helpful.
An important element to this movie was the idea of Ethanβs game, Primal Outpost, which focuses on living in harmony with the environment, rather than competing for resources. This gave a good metaphor for living in ways that benefit others and working to minimize the harm one does to the Earth and creatures living here.
βThere are no bad guys. The objective isnβt to kill, or destroy monsters. Youβre just supposed to build a working civilization utilizing the world around you,β Ethan explains.
Encouraging people to think about their actions and how they interact with the world around them is a very critical lesson provided by the movie. The way people treat the world they live in, and the way people care for the Earth can have incredibly negative or incredibly positive effects on the world as a whole.
This movie teaches many incredibly important lessons and can act as a fantastic resource for children and adults alike. I am so glad this has been added to the animated movie repertoire, and I desperately hope for more movies like it in the future.
The movie ends with a letter from Ethan to his dad, where he acknowledges the way that society can adapt and change when it needs to.
βItβs inspiring to see how resilient people can be. We can be resourceful. We can surprise. The worldβs clearly changed. And it continues to change. β¦β Ethan writes, βThe best legacy we can leave is making a present worth opening tomorrow.
