Teenagers turning to DIY remedies for acne and skincare

Every teen goes through blemishes and acne at least once in their teen years, and for most it is an everyday occurrence, but there are many different ways to prevent blemishes from forming.

Acne can occur from almost anything including stress all the way to genetics, and there are often multiple ways to treat different forms. Different forms of acne include whiteheads, blackheads, nodules and cysts, all of which are caused by multiple reasons, and there are both natural ways and hacks to get rid of it or reduce it in a short amount of time.

The easiest way to prevent acne is to take care of both the body and mind, meaning washing the face with mild soap or face wash regularly, eating right and drinking plenty of water. By doing these things it naturally reduces the buildup of toxins in the body and lets the body get rid of waste naturally without breaking out the skin.

If the acne comes from another reason, such as a hormonal imbalance, it may be best to meet with a doctor and speak about the possibility of medications that would work better than a face wash and healthy living.

Many different face washes out there offer the same thing: clear skin and a happy body, but they are not for everyone and work for different body and skin types. For example, the X-Out seen on TV will not work for everyone as everyone is different and each body requires different strengths and ingredients that the skin will react and work best with.

Many people who struggle with acne often turn to “skin hacks” to treat and manage acne. Hundreds of different hacks can be found simply by typing it into Google. These hacks range from very simple tricks that require one or two ingredients to DIY face washes that can be made almost like a cake in a kitchen. Simple hacks may include placing ice, lemon, toothpaste, and even honey onto the affected blemish and holding it there for anywhere from a few seconds to overnight according to lifehack.org.

Do it yourself acnes treatments often have simple ingredients that are available in the household or at the local stores, and often can be cheaper, more effective alternatives to store bought washes and scrubs. Natural remedies are also very popular in the day and age as people now are concerned about what goes in their bodies.

A face wash that is both DIY and natural, according to stylecraze.com, has cinnamon powder, honey, turmeric, and lemon and is applied in the paste form onto the face for fifteen to twenty minutes.

There are many different ways to treat acne, and the best way to find a treatment that works is to try many different kinds. It is a good thing people have six years of teen-hood to find the perfect match.

YouTube transformed into gateway for fame

YouTube has been around for over ten years; before it was a format to publish cat videos, but now it is producing stars with millions of fans and followers.

In the past years, YouTube has been the breakthrough from the Internet into the world of celebrities. Many having endorsers and clothes lines, like beauty guru Bethany Mota. Some even have makeup and beauty lines like Zoella, an English beauty guru. Others are endorsed by different companies that offer free and discounted items for the subscribers.

YouTube has become so much more than making videos and placing them on the Internet: now, there is an annual convention called Vidcon. Vidcon was first held in 2011 and has grown into one of the biggest media events held in the country. People from all over the world travel to California to attend the event and meet many different internet famous celebrities. This year’s Vidcon is being held in Anaheim, California on June 23-25.

Vidcon holds many different panels with different Youtubers who have become popular, where they answer questions asked by fans in the crowd and give speeches about various topics. There are also panels in which they perform skits and play games or challenges alongside other Youtubers.

Youtubers have not only caught attention on social media but have made their way into the publishing industry and even onto the big screen. Recently the Youtubers with millions of subscribers have begun to publish autobiographies, novels and activity books based on their lives and rise to fame. Popular Youtubers including Shane Dawson, Joey Graceffa and Tyler Oakley have published autobiographies about their struggles in life and how they got to where they are today. Many of the books have appeared on the New York Times bestseller list for multiple weeks.

Others have chosen to write other forms of literature. English Youtuber Joe Sugg published the graphic novel, titled “User Name: Evie,” along with gamer PewDIePie who published “this book loves you,” which is a book filled with inspirational quotes. There are many different books written by dozens of Youtubers. These books are available in stores everywhere.

Tyler Oakley has also broken a boundary from computer screen to big screen with his very first full length documentary “Snervous.” According to Snervous.com the film follows Tyler on his sold out international tour. “Snervous” gives deeper insight to his world of friends, family and inspiring others to be themselves through his documentary. “Snervous” is available now on iTunes, Vudu, Google play and Vimeo.

“Team Internet” is breaking its boundaries of a computer screen and spreading into the big world of entertainment. They are spreading into Tv, like the Fine brothers and Grace Helbig, film and even into print. One day there will not be internet celebrities and film/tv stars: there will be one form of fame that spreads through all forms of industry. As long as people are in the public view, there will always be unlikely stars.

A great debate: cats or dogs

There are cat people and there are dog people, and the famous debate on who is better has been going on for far too long. The results are finally in on who is the better pet.

A pole was set up via Twitter for 24 hours, and the results were astounding. Out of 61 voters from the Stow area, cats were crushed at a 11% to 81% votes for dogs.

According to Business Insider, dogs make better pets because they keep you social, fit and keep you from growing old. They are the perfect dose of medicine. Having to walk dogs around the block is the perfect time to meet people, and studies show people who walk their dogs on a daily basis are healthier than those without dogs.

Dogs are even good for detecting multiple diseases such as epilepsy and can detect seizures before they happen. Dogs can be trained as guides for the blind and other services no one has ever seen a cat do.

Although dogs are slobbery, need to be groomed on a regular basis and go to the bathroom outside, they are loyal pets to have for anyone of any age.

Cats do have their appeals though. According to Animal Planet, they will keep the bugs away, will happily snuggle and are easy pets to keep fit. Cats naturally have the instinct to hunt and bugs are no exception. If it moves then the cat will chase it. They are easy to keep fit by simply setting a ball in front of them or pointing a laser pointer. This may be easy entertainment, too.

Though cats are not good for guides, they do help to keep their human healthy. On Business Insider, cats are proven to lower risks of heart attacks by reducing stress on their owners. Cats are less expensive to keep around as they cost about $300-$600 less because they eat a lot less food than dogs and grooming bills. Also, they tend to be a lot less because of the lack of needed training, leashes, collars and crates. Dogs are a lot more expensive than cats and tend to be a lot more energetic and outgoing.

There are many different benefits to both pets and there really is not a better pet as it all depends on what its owner prefers. Hundreds and thousands animals all across the United States looking for someone to love them, go to your local shelter today to find the right pet for you whether it’s a cat or a dog.
