The unknown can provide immense curiosity and excitement to many people. With the identity-less, upcoming artist “Who is Fancy,” the unexplained has started wide controversy.

The real question at hand is specified by his own name.

“Who is Fancy” released a song titled “Goodbye,” which is surprisingly being played on radio stations all across the country. Radios and listeners are all stumped with the unknown. Song introductions can only be made with this “Who is Fancy” persona.

Some are saying that he might be an already known artist, who is fooling everyone with this fake, anonymous identity. Music lovers, YouTube commenters and critics have speculations that it may be Ne-Yo or even Adam Levine.

The fact that the sound of his voice has not sparked an immediate connection to an existing artist has some assuming that he is an entirely new star.

One thing is for certain though, this unidentified pop-star has received great attention. The idea behind this phenomenon was a genius way to introduce a new song and receive a mass amount of popular attention in a short amount of time.

Soon the world will know the true identity of “Who is Fancy,” with the hopes that it will not be a disappointment to all.

On Jan., 21 at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time, country superstar, Luke Bryan surprised his fans with a special announcement at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville Tennessee.

“Let’s get down to business,” Bryan joked after getting brought out to the stage.

He announced that his new tour will kick off in the spring of 2015 and will be called “Kick The Dust Up.” The tour is named after a new single that will appear on in his upcoming album.

In the Kick The Dust Up tour, there will be 13 doubles, which are nights where Bryan will play two shows in a row, and seven stadium shows. One of these stadium shows will take place at First Energy Stadium in Cleveland.

Bryan also announced his tour partners will be Florida-Georgia Line and Thomas Rhett.

The Kick The Dust Up tour will kick off in May and end in November.

Awards season is well underway and the nominations for the 87th Academy Awards, more informally known as the Oscars, were announced on Jan. 15, 2015.

The award show will take place on Feb. 22, 2015 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles (oscar.go.com). There are currently 24 categories for awards varying from best actor in a leading role to best sound mixing.

Some of the nominees for best picture include “American Sniper,” “The Imitation Game,” “The Theory of everything” and more. It is predicted that “Boyhood” will win in this category (Indiewire.com).

Nominees for best actor in a leading role are: Benedict Cumberbatch, Steve Carell, Michael Keaton, Bradley Cooper and Eddie Redmayne. Most predictions point to Michael Keaton for “Birdman.”

Similarly, nominees for best actress in a leading role include Marion Cotillard, Rosamund Pike, Felicity Jones, Reese Witherspoon and Julianne Moore. The most likely to win in this category is Julianne Moore for her performance in the film “Still Alice.”

In the categories best actor in a supporting role and best actress in a supporting role, there are five nominees each. The projected winners are: from “Whiplash,” J.K. Simmons for supporting actor and from “Boyhood,” Patricia Arquette for supporting actress.

In the category for best writing-adapted screenplay, there are five nominees, three of which are based on a true story. The most popular nominee expected to win, according to Indiewire, is “Whiplash.”

Nominated for five Oscars are “Foxcatcher,” “Interstellar,” “The Theory of Everything” and “Whiplash.” The film “American Sniper”  is nominated for six Oscars along with “Boyhood.” The only movie with eight nominations is “The Imitation Game.” Finally, “Birdman” has nine nominations as does “Grand Budapest Hotel.”

Overall, this year’s Oscars are expected to have winners from both smaller movies and big-box-office movies.
