Choir Concert

The High School orchestrated a choir concert by singing classical carol songs, trumpet feature, and including various choral groups.
Concert was open to the public for free at Dec. 6, 7pm to give the community holiday spirit.
First opening song was performed by Madrigals, signing β€œThe Holly and the Ivy” arranged Robert Shaw and Alice Parker. They continued with β€œGood King Wenceslas” and β€œI Saw Three Ships”.
During the choral group changes, the choir provided short music sing-a-long excerpts so the audience can also sing along. The first sing-a-long song was β€œDeck the Hall”.
Next, Chorale group came out and performed β€œCalypso Gloria” by Emily Crocker, β€œAll the World is Winter” by Ruth Elaine Schram, β€œHallelujah, Amen from β€˜Judas Maccabaeus’” by George Friedrich Handel. Audience sang silent night together while the next group come out to the stage.
Vocal Jazz gave a jazzy christmas twist by singing β€œWinter Wonderland” arranged by Michele Weir and β€œHave Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” by Hugh Martin, Ralph Blane arranged by Robinson.
The group includes Will Bender, Katy Garduno, Molly Marquette, Danny Schneider, Nick Ely, Julia Jeffries, Emma Razor and Zach Stratton. Sing-A-Long song included the classic favorite, β€œSanta Claus is Coming to Town”.
Mid of the concert, Men’s Chorus sang β€œA Holly Jolly Christmas” by Johnny Marks arranged by Kirby Shaw and β€œJingle Bells” by J. Pierpont. Audience’s singing of β€œJoy to the World” filled the auditorium till the next group, Pitch Please.
Pitch Please performed β€œO Come All Ye Faithful” arranged by PTX, Ben Bram, Narverud and β€œChristmas (Baby Please Come Home)” by Phil Spector, Greenwich, Barry arranged by Sharon.
After the intermission, Women’s chrous sang four tunes including β€œSleigh Bells”, β€œSpecial Kind of Star”, β€œCount Your Blessings, Instead of Sheep” including soloist sophomore Grace Taylor.
Last Sing-A-Long song was β€œWe Wish You a Merry Christmas”.
Concert Choir sang β€œThe Trumpet Sounds Within’a My Soul” arranged by Ian David Coleman, featuring Trumpeter senior Julia Moxley.
They continued with β€œAngels We Have Heard on High”, β€œLittle Drummer Boy”, β€œVarious Themes on Fa-La-La” arranged by Chuck Bridwell.
Final group of the concert was a combined choir, singing β€œWhite Christmas” by Irving Berlin and arranged by Roy Ringwald featuring two pianists senior Thomas Biggs and guest Josh Sandman.
