The Stohion has been established as a designated public forum in the free market place of ideas. This publication and its staff are protected by and bound to the principles of the First Amendment, as well as other statues described by federal law and state law. Students have the right to comment on controversial issues, but they must verify all facts, quotes, ect. They must refrain from libel, obscenity, material disruption of the school process and unwanted invasion of privacy to ensure journalist integrity. It will not be reviewed or restrained by school officials prior to publication or distribution. The content of the Stohion is determined by and reflects only the views of the student staff and not school officials or the school itself.
